Dads Army Van, Servicing and Repairs

The Dads Army Van (Jones's Van) from the Dads Army Museum in Thetford (Norfolk) https://dadsarmythetford.org.uk/ is a fairly regular visitor to our workshop where we typically undertake an annual service and any minor repairs that maybe required.

About a decade ago we rebuild the engine (Ford Model B) and its provided sound running ever since.  Its always a pleasure to see the guys from the museum as well and well worth a look around.

Test Drive following some regular servicing works.

 

Further suspension works were carried out in Spring 2026, which included the manufacture of axle carriers as the original parts are no longer available.  The works were featured on BBC radio and television.

Here the van undergoes some test drives following those repairs.
