Ford V8 Double Pulley Water Pump Rebuild Kit for passenger and pickups 1937 to 1952 79-8501/2-KITB/E

This is a kit to rebuild one pump. 

The kit contains:- 1 x  bearing and shaft, 1 x seal, 1 x washer and 1 x gasket. 

This kit will need to be fitted with care  -  there is some machining and modifications needed to make this kit work. It is not a direct fit  - an OE repro kit is not available. We have sourced the closest parts possible to minimise the amount of machining and fitting work needed. 

Here is an idea of some of the work involved:- machining the faces flat and true, pressing of the pulley and the impellor (you will need to reuse these original parts, along with the water pump body) Where the thrust runs and the impellor  -  may need machining depending on how much wear/damage there is. The bearing and shaft may need to be machined down in dia  - test fit first and then machine if needed. The bearing shaft may need cutting down to the correct length. The impellor and pulley will need pressing back into position.
